2. Integration of electives information
 Regional DHBs have an opportunity to use regional tools to maximise regional DHB capacity to aid in maintaining ESPI compliance
 Variations between treatments are known to the region and a forum is available to discuss variations.
 Regional tools maintain an age, gender and ethnicity lens to aid in reducing inequalities regionally
 Sustaining progress achieved through previously funded Elective Services Productivity and Workforce Programme (ESPWP) contracts.
 Central repository of current regional CPAC scores to create regional transparency
 Groups are regularly meeting to improve the quality of electives data and
information/reduce variation building faith for smart systems
 CPAC scoring tools are being used to reduce variation in regional cases
 Establish and delivering regional MOU to facilitate cross-boundary service delivery
 Implementing sub-regional/regional referral management and scheduling systems
 Develop a regional delivery plan that supports achievement of:
o local intervention rates
o maximised regional capacity
o optimal use of specialist resources and sub-specialist capability
o increased access to less complex surgery
o local Health Target Delivery matching demand with elective capacity.
